We Are All Scarred

On the radio this morning they had listeners call in with their traumatic and/or scarring personal experiences.

For your viewing pleasure, here are some of mine -- they've all made me who I am:

1. getting separated from my family/lost at the mall (age 5). Somehow I got turned around and ended up crying to an old couple who took me to the security office. It was terrifying.

2. When I was 8 I was attempting to climb over some pig wire into a pen -- and slipped halfway. Let's just say sharp pointy things went tender places. yeah.

3. Age 20. My boyfriend at the time decided to stay in Arkansas to camp another day -- so I went back home. We were supposed to meet up on Tuesday for dinner. I cooked -- he never showed up -- until Thursday. And then wondered why I was worried. I was beyond myself with worry.

4. Age 17. I had decided to convert religions -- and when I called my best friend of my childhood she said she could no longer by my friend -- we didn't have any contact after that phone call for nearly 5 years. We talk now.

Peace all -- I hope that the snow doesn't have you too disabled, Sarah. I am actually really jealous!
