I'm a corporate hippie
Where have all the hippies gone?
Now, I am in no way advocating a shift to a communist america -- nor am I urging everyone I know to join a commune. I am just as capitalistic as the next red blooded American.
However, there is something sorely lacking in our society. There is no accountability for ones actions. The only thing that dictates if someone should do it or not -- if the law will catch them or if they will have to pay fines.
I guess Christmas time (though that's a whole nother subject) is as good as any time as ever to try to motivate people to live for themselves, but to ask -- would I do that do my grandmother (cut her off in traffic/flip her off/cut in line/talk smack/etc)
I think not.
Now I know why people move into little sheds in the woods and write manifestos.
