Karma: One Deed at a Time
Politcs get a bad name. I suppose they always have. Hell, even "activism" could be a four letter word to most people. But I am glad to see people affected by things enough that they want to take action. We, me included, tend to be a bit jaded and apathetic about the world's problems, because truly one person can't make a difference -- but one person can influence others.
I have an idea. Let's all try to make sure that we do one good deed a day -- something that will send good Karma out into the world (from a smile to writing a letter to ... ) and perhaps that karma will keep building until we solve some of our problems.
In other news. I spent the weekend in KS and had an amazing time. I left dallas early Friday morning, so I got to watch the sun come up and the I drove quietly there, with K and Marley sleeping in the seat next to me. I layed in the sun, watched the clouds, played with kittens, spent time with family. I feel recharged.
